Cookie Policy Wizard
The Cookie Policy wizard generates a cookie usage disclosure for your app or website, covering GDPR and CCPA requirements.
What you'll be asked
- Cookie types - functional, analytics, advertising, preferences
- Third-party tools - e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar
- Consent method - how you obtain user consent (banner, settings page, implicit)
- GDPR / CCPA compliance - whether your app serves users in the EU or California
When you need a cookie policy
You need a cookie policy if:
- Your web-based app or landing page uses any cookies beyond strictly necessary ones
- You use any analytics or advertising tools (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.)
- You serve users in the EU (GDPR) or California (CCPA)
Running the wizard
- Go to your app's Home
- Find the Cookie Policy row in the compliance checklist
- Click Add page (or Generate, if the page already exists)
- Fill in the questionnaire and submit
- Finish with Publish & open editor to go live and review, or Save as draft to keep it private
Cookie Policy is an extended page type. If it isn't part of your plan, Add page opens an upgrade prompt instead - see Plans & Limits.
Note: Cookie policies for mobile apps (iOS/Android) that don't use a web view generally don't apply - this is more relevant for your microsite landing page or web app.
