Refund Policy

Last updated April 11, 2026 Subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds.

1. Overview

This policy explains how subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds work for the VOTLI Service. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. Free plan

VOTLI offers a free plan with limited features. You can use it without payment. No refunds apply to the free plan because no fees are charged.

3. Paid subscriptions

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle.
  • Fees are charged through our payment provider, Polar, which acts as merchant of record.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each cycle until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle and the account reverts to the free plan.

4. Refund eligibility

We will consider a refund in the following situations:

  • EU / UK consumer withdrawal right (14 days). If you are a consumer located in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with an equivalent cooling-off right, you may withdraw from your first paid subscription within 14 days of the initial purchase and receive a full refund, provided you have not substantially used the paid features during that period. To exercise this right, email [email protected] within 14 days.
  • Duplicate or accidental charges. If you were charged twice for the same period or upgraded by mistake, we will refund the duplicate amount.
  • Service outages. If the Service experiences a prolonged outage that materially prevents you from using a paid feature, we may offer a pro-rated credit or refund at our discretion.
  • Billing errors. If we mistakenly charge you for a plan you did not purchase, we will refund the erroneous amount.

5. Situations where refunds are not normally offered

  • Partial months on monthly plans after the 14-day window — you keep access until the end of the cycle.
  • Unused time after cancellation of an annual plan, except under the 14-day rule above.
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content. You are responsible for reviewing generated drafts before relying on them.
  • Suspension or termination for violation of our Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service.
  • Chargeback disputes initiated without first contacting us.

6. How to request a refund

To request a refund:

  1. Email [email protected] from the address associated with your VOTLI account.
  2. Include the invoice number or the approximate date of the charge.
  3. Briefly describe why you are requesting a refund.

We aim to respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

7. Taxes

Refunds include applicable taxes originally charged. If the refund is partial, taxes are refunded proportionally.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy. The version in effect when you are charged governs that particular transaction. Material changes will be announced as described in the Terms of Service.
